Title: Grayscale blending technique July 2021
Post by: Carrie on July 23, 2021, 04:04:00 PM
This was fun and I really like the results. I used a favorite flower stamp, a black colored pencil, gamasol and a blending tool.
I did one in colors too so I could compare them. I do prefer the grayscale one. There are plenty of videos out there on how to do this but it is really easy. Just stamp your image with a good ink (I used Gina K brand that I use for my images I am going to color with copics and heat set it first) Use you black colored pencil to color just the area where the shading would be the darkest and use your blending tool that has been soaked with gamasol to pull the color onto the other areas...it shades itself.
You can go back and add more pencil to the darker areas and use your blending tool to pull more color out.
Give this a try and show us your results! I did use a white pen to add the highlighted dots on flower center.

I made these two colored images into side to side shaker cards. Rita sent me a link on how to make these and I put it on the swap suggestions board.
