Title: Organizing dies
Post by: Diane on July 07, 2019, 04:54:52 AM
I found on pinterest a wonderful way to keep your dies organized and handy.  I ordered double CD cases, took out the center CD holder.  On one side I taped a paper with simple description of what dies are in there, the other side I stuck a thin magnet sheet on it.  These cases are big enough to put dies on both sides of the case and if needed you can put a free insert magnet sheet with more dies on it.  You can also put dies on magnet sheets on one side and matching stamps on other side.  The stamps can stick to inside of CD case.  Then I used a CD holder to keep CDs in some sort of order.  Now all I need to do is to STOP BUYING DIES!!!  lol

I  am  always  moving  and  changing things  to   take up  less  room  and make it  easier  for  me to  find things.  I  still  have  some in  the   plastic   cases. I spend more time  on organizing  then  I  do  making the   cards,  so  today   ,  I  am  going to  work on  some  birthday   cards,  I  have  a  lot of them this month.

I used to use the CD & DVD cases to hold my dies & stamps. For some time now, I use the soft plastic storage envelopes for all my everyday dies & stamps. I use the Ranger binders to hold my interactive, extra large, holiday & seasonal dies. My holiday & seasonal stamps are in separate storage boxes, since they are not needed on a frequent basis. It's all about easy access and storage availability

I  bought adhesive magnetic sheets and attached them to the walls where my machines are and put the die on there. I need to buy some more since I have way more die than I thought I had.  I also have a case with magnetic sheets designed for holding die, but out-grew that pretty fast and also a zippered soft case with clear plastic sleeves and magnetic sheets, out-grew that too and a big boot box for the large die.
