Yellow Squash Pie

This is a mild , really good pie.

 SQUASH PIE                                        450 degree oven
*1 cup cooked, drained and mashed squash  ( yellow or orange like Butternut)    I put mine in the blender and then measured the amount I needed ... put back in blender then added the other ingredients and just blended till mixed well.
* 1 cup evaporated milk
* 3 beaten eggs
* 1 cup of sugar or packed brown sugar ( I used brown)
* 2 Tblsp flour
* 1/2 teasp. cinnamon
* 1/2 teasp ginger
* 1/2 teasp nutmeg  (I used a 1/4 teasp since I don't like strong nutmeg flavor)
* 1/2 teasp salt
*** 1/4 cup rum (optional &I did not use)
directions:
1. line 9" pie pan with crust
2.Mix all ingredients and beat  well
3.pour into pie crust
4.bake at 450 for 10 minutes
5.reduce heat to 300 and bake until pie is done .. this will take about 45 mins more
6. stick a knife into middle of pie and if it comes out clean.. pie is done        Enjoy !
